Diving back into the murky world of French crime thrillers for the third time – hear about Lupin and Le Chalet here and here – we bring you La Mante, a French mini-series that follows the serial killer known as La Mante, aka Jeane Dubere, as she works with her detective son, Damien, to solve a series of copycat murders. We focus on the series’ protagonist, discussing its feminism, murders, and ask how much we can forgive the crimes we see on screen.

Although we tend to keep our podcasts spoiler-free, this series’ ending had so much to talk about, and we’ve broken the rule – listen to the first 16 minutes for a spoiler-free experience, and only listen to the rest after watching!
